This week I did cooking for Monday mashup. I was with Whaea Liz making scrumptious Sausage Rolls. First Whaea Liz brought out the pastry and placed it on the table. Then she needed one person to cut the pastry in half. Ashlea did the cutting the pastry in half. Once Ashlea finished the pastry Ava put the meat in the bowl. Whaea Liz then put cheese in the meat then she put some sause she added BBQ and Tomato. I had to do the mixing with a spoon untill it was all mixed together. Ava Put the meat into both pastry with her bare hands she had to make the shape into a worm.  After Zaniya spread milk around the meat on the pastry. Finally we put the Sausage Rolls in the oven. I felt really excited that we got to do Sausage Rolls.

Today we made a Rowing Machine, I worked with Mahalia, Isabel, and Pearl and I.

The challenging part was the pulley rope because it was a bit heavy.

It was successful because me and my group were communicating and helping each other when we needed it.

Last week we went to Living Springs to stay there for 2 nights and 3 days. We did lots of activities my favourite activity was mountain boarding. Mountain boarding was my favourite because I got to go all the way down to university.

Have you guys ever gone mountain boarding before?

Today in inquiry we were learning about the sun.

We did an experiment to model how the sun produces power and light.

When we made the carbon snake the first step was to get a flat cooking pan and place sand inside.We made a volcano hole and put alcohol on the sand. Next, we put icing sugar on top of the alcohol. Then we lit the icing sugar with a lighter and used a piece of paper to light and placed it on the icing sugar. Then we took the flax out of the icing sugar the fire should get bigger on the icing sugar.After it would start to burn and turn into Marshmallows. Finally a black Alien should grow like a plant.

I saw a black Alien growing into a baby because the fire was burning the sand and icing sugar.

It smelled like Marshmallows and burnt fire.

Today at CRT we were with Sharon we were doing a challenge where you have to work in a team of four . Ava, Alira and I had to make a dinosaur and we only had 5 min to complete the dinosaur which was hard . We were struggling because we couldn’t find all the Lego set but we kept on going the time was up. On round two we made a car I was trying to figure it out but then there was two Lego that was hard to do then the time was up.

I worked together with Alira Ava and I .We showed collaboration / kotahitanga by working together as a team.

I found the dinosaur challenging because it was the hardest Lego set I was shocked I thought it was easy until I saw the instructions.

I enjoyed working with my teammates because we were helping each other and having fun building the Lego.
